DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, due to circumstances outside the control of BOHOGS\, the Poitrel Mine Site Visit has been changed to Tuesday the 14th of May 2024. The finalised details are as below. \nOn behalf of BOHOGS\, we apologise for any inconvenience with this date change. \nBOHOGS will be hosting a site visit at Poitrel Mine (QLD) on Tuesday the 14th of May\, 2024. \nVisitor numbers are limited so get in early to secure your spot. \nPlease note visitors are expected to provide their own PPE (long-sleeve hi vi and trousers\, boots with steel toe protection and approved safety glasses). Poitrel is a hard hat free site. \nDate:\nTuesday 14th May\, 2024\nTime: 10am – 2:30pm \nLocation:\nPoitrel Mine\nMillennium Access Road\, Coppabella QLD 4741 \nAgenda: \n\n10:00 to 10:30am: Visitor registration and sign in\n10:30 to 11:30am: Poitrel site overview\, challenges and highwall augering overview\n11:30 to 12:15pm: Lunch\n12:15 to 2:30pm: Site tour to all lookouts\, including highwall auger mining\n\nRSVP:\nVisitor numbers are limited so get in early to secure your spot. \nTo RSVP for the event\, please email Gurshaan Virk (gurshaan.virk (at) bhp.com) before Friday May 10th  2024. \nAbout Poitrel Mine:\nPoitrel is an established and successful open-cut coal mine located 35 kilometres east of Moranbah in Queensland and is owned by Stanmore Resources. The mine produced first coal in 2006 and has access to high-quality infrastructure\, producing a mix of hard coking coal (HCC) and pulverised coal injection (PCI) coals for export to overseas customers\, including in Asia and Europe. \nPoitrel has a mine life in excess of 10 years\, and in FY21 produced 3.9Mt of coals\, comprising approximately 65% HCC and 35% PCI. \nStanmore Resources acquired BHP’s 80% interest in BMC in May 2022\, becoming the operator of Poitrel. \nBOHOGS Sponsors 2024:
