BOHOGS hosted its AGM and a Technical Forum in Brisbane on Thursday 28th November, 2024. We had 32 people in person and up to 20 people online! The event was followed by a few social drinks and refreshments. We'd like to thank Alison McQuillan, Jiwoo Ahn and Neil Cunnington for their presentations!

BOHOGS hosted a Technical Event in Moranbah on the 22nd of October 2024, where Dr John Eckersley presented on Geotechnical Issues In Coking Coal Stockpiles. The event had 20 people in person attendees and 45+ online. The event was followed by a few social drinks and refreshments. We'd like to thank John for his time in collating/presenting and for travelling up to Moranbah to present for BOHOGS members and a few coal mining companies CHPP personnel.

A big thank you to the GroundProbe team for hosting the twenty BOHOGS members (and 20 or so members online) at the GroundProbe office Brisbane yesterday. It is a huge effort to put together such an event and the BOHOGS members and committee appreciate it. We value GroundProbe's continued support of BOHOGS! A big thank you to the IDS GeoRadar team for hosting the sixteen BOHOGS members (and 20 or so members online) at the IDS head office Brisbane yesterday. It is a huge effort to put together such an event and the BOHOGS members and committee appreciate it and IDS GeoRadars continued support! The IDS team showcased their unique monitoring solutions, provided interesting case studies and gave members a tour of the IDS production warehouse. What a great turnout to yesterdays BOHOGS technical forum! We had 45 people attend in person and 25 online! Thanks again to Mathew Widelski (Equilibrium Mining) and Mike Munro (GMEK) for their presentations. And as always, these events aren't possible without all of our great sponsors.  

BOHOGS hosted a technical meeting and site tour at Poitrel mine this week. Along with a series of technical presentations and a site tour, it was a great opportunity for open cut geotechnical engineers to share experiences and liaise with like minded professionals. Thanks for coming!
