BOHOGS will be hosting a site visit at Mt Thorley Warkworth Mine (NSW) on Thursday 13th of August, 2026.
Site visit numbers are limited so please only RSVP if you are going to attend. If you have RSVP’d and can’t attend, let us know ASAP.
The technical session will be streamed online. Online meeting link to be sent few days before event to all members, via email.

Site Access: recommended time 10:30am
PPE required – Hart hat, work boots, glasses, high vis. We will have some spares, but hopefully people can bring their own.

- 10:00 am – Site arrival
- 10:00 am – 10:30 am – Sign-in and site induction
- 10:30 am – 11:30 am – Site overview and geotechnical challenges presentations
- 11:30 am – 1:00 pm – Pit tour
- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm – Sign out, travel to the Singleton venue and lunch
- 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Technical presentations (TBD)
- 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm – Networking and close

About Mt Thorley Warkworth Mine:
Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an integrated operation of two open cut mines located adjacent to each other, 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. Both the Mount Thorley and Warkworth mines have been in operation since 1981.
Operating 24 hours a day, MTW is an integrated operation consisting of the open cut coal mining operations of Mount Thorley Operations and Warkworth Mine. Other mining related infrastructure includes coal handling and processing and coal transport facilities.
